Synopsis
Donna is a graduation film from the School of Art & Design in Breda, the Netherlands. This slice-of-life coming-of-age short follows thirteen-year-old Donna, who conceals her personal identity in an attempt to avoid the powerlessness she experiences in relation to others. As identity is shaped through interaction with one’s environment, the film explores what happens when the different social worlds a young person navigates do not align and fail to share the same values, rules, and understanding.
