Short horror series
From a very young age I was fascinated with stories of the supernatural. These stories a very common in Suriname and are mostly told by the elderly who firmly believe in the strangest things. They often give a warning of what you should not do.
Those who don’t listen must experience the consequences.
Sranan Folktales is a horror web series about Surinamese traditional beliefs and superstition. The dark mysteries of life, scary yet magical, are my core inspiration for these short films.
